The launching of program organized by International institute of human rights was held at European University

On October 16, 2017, the ceremony of launching of training in human rights, organized by International institute of human rights, founded by René Cassini, and European University was held at the European University Conference Hall. The event was attended by the ambassador of France in Georgia - Pascal MEUNIER, cooperation attaches - Terry Burte and Tiphaine Lucas,the head of the Legal Issues Committee of the Parliament of Georgia - Eka Beselia, the head of Investigation Department of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Chief Prosecutor's Office - Irakli Nadareishvili, the members of Academy of Internal Affairs and Lawyes from differents NGO-s.

As the ambassador of France in Georgia - Pascal MEUNIER said International Institute of Human Rights which visited Georgia for the first time is a very important organization in France: "It has a long history and I think our cooperation with the European university will be fruitful." Moreover, the head of the Legal Issues Committee of the Parliament of Georgia - Eka Beselia spoke about human rights law and underlined the reforms implemented by the parliament of Georgia in recent years.

Ioseb Kelendjeridze, the Dean of the European University School of Law explained that it the first time when the International Institute of Human Rights visits Caucasus region: "The institute has selected European University for realizing the program and we are very much proud of that. As for the training courses, it is a course about international human rights law after which each participant will be awarded with certificates."

The program mentioned above is supported by the Embassy of France in Georgia and the UNHCR.
