European University is hosting Erasmus+ International Week
European University is welcoming 17 representatives from 7 countries during Erasmus+ International Week from June 3-7. The first day was focused on introducing the university's academic offerings and sharing aspects of Georgian culture.
The day commenced with a convivial welcome, affording participants an opportunity to connect over coffee. Rector Nino Taliashvili set the tone for the week, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and exchange in the academic realm. Vice-Rector Sophio Khundadze provided an overview of the university's organizational structure, while Gvantsa Jichoshvili, acting head of the international relations office shared valuable insights into the institution's internationalization efforts and objectives.
Natia Jojua, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Ilia Botsvadze, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Technology,Maya Kereselidze, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Eka Kavelidze, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Humanities and Social Sciences at European University, presented the university's educational programs to the attendees.
Associate Professor Lasha Chakhvadze, Head of the International Admissions Office, spoke about the conditions of enrollment of foreign students and international recognition.
The agenda also featured an insightful session led by European University’s Lecturer Giorgi Cheishvili, offering participants a deeper understanding of Georgia and its unique cultural tapestry. A language workshop conducted by an Invited Lecturer Ia Dochviri not only provided attendees with an introduction to the local language but also highlighted its distinctive features.
This week-long event promises a harmonious blend of academic exploration and cultural immersion over the course of 5 working days.
