On October 12-13, Dr. Esteban José Palomo Ferrer and Dr. Sergio Gálvez Rojas, professors from the University of Malaga delivered lectures to the students of the Faculty of Medicine of European University.

Dr. Esteban José Palomo Ferrer discussed “Unsupervised Learning and Self-organizing Neural Networks”, while Dr. Sergio Gálvez Rojas spoke about “Bioinformatics applied to Plants.”

In an interactive mode, the practical and ethical aspects of bioinformatics and artificial intelligence in the fields of agriculture and medicine were examined.

The lecturers from the University of Malaga, who have many years of experience in the above-mentioned fields, shared the results of their research as well as best practices.

It is noteworthy that the visit of Dr. Gálvez Rojas and Dr. Palomo Ferrera to European University formed a part of the Erasmus+ academic exchange, and it was preceded by the teaching mobility of European University professors, Dr. Maia Mantskava and Nino Pavliashvili, to the University of Malaga.
