Rector of "European University", Nino Taliashvili, attended the annual conference of the Association of European Universities

This year, the prestigious annual conference of the European University Association (EUA), attended by key representatives of the European educational community, took place in Gdansk, Poland.  Among the attendees were Nino Taliashvili, Rector of European University, and Tatia Dolidze, Head of the International Relations Office. The event annually provides an opportunity to celebrate achievements, share insights on progress, and foster deeper connections among participants.

This year's conference, themed "We need to talk about impact", explored the role of universities in public policy development amidst socio-political changes and crises. Discussions covered a range of crucial topics, such as the significance of international rankings in evaluating university performance, the impact of digital transformation on teaching and learning, the value of intersectoral cooperation in addressing public challenges, and the principles of green university policies. Preceding the conference, the General Assembly convened to elect a new President and the board members of the Association.

It is worth noting that the European University has held associate membership in the European University Association for two years now, securing its place among leading European institutions.

The Association works closely with the European Commission and the European Parliament, enabling member organizations, including European University, to participate in shaping future EU higher education policies and initiatives.
