The first stage of the essay competition organized by the University and the French Embassy was held at the European University

Today at the European University the first stage of the essay competition was held, organized by the University and the Embassy of France.


The participants of the competition were welcomed by the Ambassador of France Mr. Diego Colas and the Rector of European University Mrs. Nino Taliashvili. Davit Lominashvili, Head of the Legal Department of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Georgia was also presented at the event.


The second stage of the competition will be held on March 7 at Kutaisi University, and for those who are physically unable to participate in the competition for various reasons, including from mountainous regions, the second stage will be held today at 16:00 via online zoom.


The competition of essays organized by the European University and the Embassy of France is held on the topic "Georgia's European Future". 11th - 12th-grade students from both private and public, general education schools participate in the competition, and Its goal is to popularize European values and raise awareness among students about the European integration process, the importance of Georgia's rapprochement with the European family, and the understanding of democracy, human rights and the rule of law as European values.


Up to 300 candidates have registered for the competition. 


It should be noted that the competition is held within the framework of "Europe Days 2021" and the winner will be symbolically revealed on May 9, "Europe Day". The award ceremony will be held at the residence of the French Embassy.
