The 17th student scientific conference of the Faculty of Dentistry and Medicine was held at the European University
At the conference, students of Medical doctor, Dentistry and Psychology programs presented scientific presentations based on the results of their research. In addition to students from the European University, students from other universities of Georgia also took part in the 17th student scientific conference.
Under the guidance of academic and invited staff, students conducted research related to various issues of medicine, dentistry and psychology.
Presentations were followed by discussions and students answered questions from the audience.
The evaluation of the conference participants was carried out by members of a special scientific committee:
- Maya Mantskava - Professor, Head of the Department of Scientific Research (Chairman of the Committee);
- David Malidze - Professor, Head of the Department of Clinical Diagnostics (member of the Committee);
- Eka Kokhreidze - Researcher at the Research Institute of Medicine (member of the committee);
- Khatuna Dondoladze - Head of the Department of Behavioral Sciences of the Faculty of Medicine (member of the Committee);

In addition to the prize places, four conference participants will be able to take part in the international interdisciplinary school-conference "BIOMED 2025" without a membership fee and a selection competition. They will also be given the opportunity to publish the full version of their research as a scientific publication in the Journal of Biomedical and Medical Sciences. These students are:
- Gulnazi Maghradze and Ana Enukidze, a student of the Georgian-language medical doctor program at the European University
- Topic: "Use of alcohol, tobacco and other psychoactive substances among university students: causes, consequences and prevention"
- Students of the Georgian-language master's program at the European University: Nino Borshoidze and Mariam Sharia
- Topic: "Adaptation and implementation of a hand hygiene monitoring tool at Jo Ann University Hospital to reduce the infections associated with medical services "
- Students of the psychology program at the European University: Ana Ejibadze and Nino Kurtsikidze
- Topic: "Synesthesia, sensation, synesthete"
The winners were awarded by the members of the committee and representatives of the medical faculty. All conference participants were awarded certificates. Students who took 1st, 2nd and 3rd place were awarded a special prize and from the European University.
