“European University” has been ranked in the 2025 edition of the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings<\/strong><\/a><\/span>,<\/span> the most in Georgia, in 12 categories.<\/p>\n

Every year, Times Higher Education publishes an overall ranking of universities from 115 countries around the world, as well as a table corresponding to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, showing the progress of universities in each area.<\/p>\n

In the 2025 edition, \u201cEuropean University\u201d is the only one from Georgia<\/strong> to be represented in the categories of Zero Hunger, Clean Water and Sanitation, and Affordable and Clean Energy<\/strong>. Worldwide, \u201cEuropean University\u201d is ranked 1501+ and is represented in the following positions in 12 categories of sustainable development:<\/p>\n

SDG 1: No Poverty (1001+)<\/strong><\/p>\n

With a score of 4.5 \u2013 30.6, the European University is ranked 1001+ \u00a0in the first category. SDG1 aims to identify universities that are making the greatest impact on poverty reduction through sound research on poverty, innovative educational programs, and strategic approaches to helping students in poverty, from offering large-scale financial aid to creating supportive learning environments.<\/p>\n

SDG 2: Zero Hunger (801+)<\/strong><\/p>\n

With a score of 1.9 \u2013 23.3, \u201cEuropean University\u201d is ranked 801+ in the second category. SDG2 recognizes universities that are fighting hunger through large-scale research in the field of food security and impactful educational initiatives aimed at achieving zero hunger globally.<\/p>\n

SDG 3: Good Health and Wellbeing (601 \u2013 800)<\/strong><\/p>\n

With a score of 50.6 \u2013 57.1, the European University is ranked 601-800 in the third category. SDG3 is for universities that are pioneers in promoting health and well-being in society through a variety of activities.<\/p>\n

SDG 4: Quality Education (1501+)<\/strong><\/p>\n

With a score of 1.7 \u2013 33.3, European University is ranked 1501+ in the fourth category. SDG4 aims to create safe, inclusive and positive environments in education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.<\/p>\n

SDG 5: Gender Equality (1001 – 1500)<\/strong><\/p>\n

With a score of 15.3 – 38.7, \u201cEuropean University\u201d is ranked 1001 – 1500 in the fifth category. The goal of SDG5 is to eliminate all forms of discrimination and violence against women, to ensure women’s full participation in political, economic and public life and to ensure equal opportunities for leadership at all levels of decision-making.<\/p>\n

SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation (1001+)<\/strong><\/p>\n

With a score of 2.4 \u2013 13.1, European University ranks 1001+ in the sixth category. The SDG6 rankings identify institutions that are leaders in promoting equitable access to affordable drinking water, improving wastewater treatment facilities, and ensuring sustainable water resource management.<\/p>\n

SDG7: Affordable and clean energy (1001+)<\/strong><\/p>\n

With a score of 0.6 \u2013 26.8, European University is ranked 1001+ in the seventh category. Universities represented in SDG7 are distinguished by their commitment to developing and promoting sustainable energy services, improving energy efficiency and promoting investments in energy infrastructure.<\/p>\n

SDG8: Decent work and economic growth (1001+)<\/strong><\/p>\n

With a score of 0.8 \u2013 38.6, the European University ranks 1001+ in the eighth category. SDG8 identifies universities that are successful in creating productive employment opportunities and a safe working environment.<\/p>\n

SDG10: Reduced Inequalities (1001+)<\/strong><\/p>\n

With a score of 1.3 \u2013 31.0, European University ranks 1001+ in the tenth category. SDG10 universities are distinguished by their commitment to ensuring equal opportunities and inclusion.<\/p>\n

SDG11: Sustainable cities and communities (1001+)<\/strong><\/p>\n

With a score of 3.6 \u2013 23.1, the European University ranks 1001+ in the eleventh category. Universities represented in SDG11 are successful in integrating sustainable development into urban development, increasing access to basic services, improving the quality of public spaces and the use of public transport.<\/p>\n

SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions (1001+)<\/strong><\/p>\n

With a score of 2.4 \u2013 31.7, \u201cEuropean University\u201d is ranked 1001+ in the sixteenth category. SDG 16 aims to promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, ensure access to justice for all, and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.<\/p>\n

SDG 17: Global Partnerships for the Goals (1501+)<\/strong><\/p>\n

With a score of 2.1 \u2013 44.7, \u201cEuropean University\u201d is ranked 1501+ in the seventeenth category. SDG 17 aims to build strong international partnerships that support sustainable development across sectors.<\/p>\n

By excelling in a variety of SDGs, European University showcase its commitment to addressing the world\u2019s most pressing challenges, including environmental sustainability, social inclusion, economic growth and partnerships.<\/p>\n
