On March 14-15, 2025, the Third International Scientific Session was held at the Zurab Zhvania Parliamentary Hall of European University. The event was organized by the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, the Andria Apakidze Institute of Archaeology at European University, and the university\u2019s Historical-Archaeological Museum.<\/p>

The session was conducted within the framework of one of European University\u2019s priority areas\u2014the development of historical and archaeological research.<\/p>

The event was officially opened by the President of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, Academician Roin Metreveli, and the Head of the Archaeology Program at European University, Professor Sandro Noneshvili.<\/p>

European University regularly hosts international scientific conferences and sessions aimed at fostering scientific research and education.<\/p>

The session was dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the birth of Academician Otar Lortkipanidze.<\/p>

The session featured reports on field research and excavation results presented by both Georgian (from scientific centers in Tbilisi, Rustavi, Mtskheta, Kutaisi, Batumi, and Telavi) and international archaeologists (from Austria, Italy, and Poland).<\/p>
