On December 18th, The European University hosted a visit as part of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine’s project “Development of Veterinary Education Programs,” (InovaVet) funded by the Competitive Innovation Fund (CIF). The delegation included Shiro Nakata, Higher Education Economist at the World Bank; Ana Berdzenadze, Education Specialist at the World Bank’s Regional Office; Nazi Farsadanishvili, Education Specialist at the Competitive Innovation Fund; and Giorgi Sikharulidze, Financial Specialist at the Competitive Innovation Fund.<\/p>\n
The project aims to enhance and strengthen integrated master’s educational programs in veterinary medicine developed by two Georgian higher education institutions\u2014European University and the Georgian Technical University. The overarching goal is to align the programs with the modern labor market’s demands, thereby preparing a highly qualified workforce and contributing to the development of the veterinary sector in the country.<\/p>\n
The meeting was attended by Mariam Orjonikidze, Head of the International Relations Office at European University; project managers Levan Tsitskishvili and Maia Kereselidze; and the Rector of European University, Nino Talishvili.<\/p>\n
During the visit, participants discussed the stages of project implementation, evaluated the progress made, and deliberated on the prospects for future collaboration. \u00a0During the visit, the guests observed the laboratories of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.<\/p>\n
