Incoming Staff Mobility<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

The International Relations Office at European University is responsible for collecting staff mobility nominations from partner universities throughout the year. For teaching staff, lecture topics will be agreed upon in advance, with incoming faculty working closely with their host faculties. The International Relations Office managers will facilitate this coordination. For administrative staff, the Office will assist in identifying the appropriate host unit at European University.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the university organizes an annual international staff week, providing visiting colleagues with an opportunity to network, exchange best practices, and explore potential collaborations. Information about upcoming staff weeks will be shared with partner institutions in due course.<\/p>\n

Visa<\/strong><\/p>\n

Citizens of European Union Member States enjoy the benefit of visa-free entry to Georgia and may stay for up to one year without the need for additional permits or visas.<\/p>\n

Insurance and Health Coverage<\/strong><\/p>\n

Academic and Administrative staff members are required to have health insurance during their stay in Georgia. There are several local insurance providers, including TBC Insurance, Ardi, and IRAO, offering comprehensive coverage for international students.<\/p>\n

Transportation in Georgia<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are three major airports in Georgia: Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi. The nearest airport to European University is Tbilisi International Airport. It is the largest airport in the area, and students arriving there can easily reach the city center by taxi, bus, or train and the travel time is approximately 30-40 minutes.<\/p>\n

Kutaisi Airport is located further west of Kutaisi city within 200 kilometers from Tbilisi. You can travel from Kutaisi to Tbilisi with Shuttle Bus (Omnibus<\/a>, Georgianbus<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/span>) or train<\/a><\/strong><\/span> and the trip is up to 4 hours.<\/p>\n

Batumi International Airport is located 2 km (1.2 mi) south of Batumi, a city on the Black Sea coast and capital of Adjara, within 400 kilometers from Tbilisi. You can travel from Batumi to Tbilisi with train<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/span> or Bus (e.g. Metro<\/a><\/strong><\/span>) and the trip is around 5-6 hours.<\/p>\n

Public transportation in Tbilisi is affordable, with one-way tickets for the bus, metro, or microbus costing just 1.00 GEL. Several online taxi services, such as Bolt, Indriver, and Taxi.ge, are also available.<\/p>\n

University Location<\/strong><\/p>\n

European University’s main administrative building is easily accessible by metro, located between the Guramishvili and Ghrmaghele stations. It takes about 5 minutes to reach the university from Guramishvili metro station and 10 minutes from Ghrmaghele metro station. The campus houses several faculties, including the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Business and Technology.<\/p>\n

The Faculty of Medicine is located near Sarajishvili Metro Station at 17 Sarajishvili Street, Tbilisi 0189, Georgia. To reach the campus by bus, take Bus 370 or 381 from Sarajishvili Metro. The campus houses the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Dentistry.<\/p>\n
