Visit of the representatives of the Horizon Europe National Office of Georgia to the European University

On July 14, 2025, the representatives of the Horizon Europe National Office of Georgia visited the European University. The aim of the visit was to provide detailed information to the academic staff of the university about the grant  opportunities available within the framework of the program.

During the meeting, the National Contact Points (NCPs) of  “Horizon Europe” presented  the ongoing and upcoming grant opportunities, participation requirements  and application submission procedures.  

Eka Sanaia introduced the funding opportunities offered by the European Research Council (ERC); Teona Maisuradze presented the 2025 MSCA calls for PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career researchers,  Nikoloz Vachadze discussed the open calls in the Health Cluster, while Nino Rodonaia gave an overview of the Widening calls.

The meeting attendees were  administrative and academic staff of the European University. The administration of the university has a consistent vision to fully utilize the opportunities provided under “Horizon Europe” for the enhancement of teaching and research quality. By increasing the awareness of academic staff about “Horizon Europe” opportunities, such meetings contribute to the successful engagement of the university in various valuable activities
