Two Winning Projects Announced in the Faculty of Dentistry’s Student Research Funding Competition

Within the framework of the research project funding competition announced for the students of the Faculty of Dentistry of European University, two winning projects have been selected.
In accordance with the rule for funding student research and participation in international conferences, the selection committee evaluated the submitted projects and identified the two with the best results.
The funded research projects are:
- “Impact of E-Cigarette Use on Periodontal Health and Risk Prediction Using Machine Learning”
- “Cross-sectional study of English-speaking dental students in a Georgian university clinic setting: Prevalence of sharps-related injuries, and perceptions of access to occupational health services”
The research projects will be implemented by students under the supervision of academic and invited staff of the Faculty of Dentistry. Upon completion, the research findings will be presented to the public.
European University actively promotes the development of research interests among students and fosters an environment for enhancing essential academic and professional skills. Participants of this competition had the opportunity to engage in practical research on topics of their interest, conduct initial study preparations, and gain valuable experience.
At the next stage of the projects, the winning students will significantly strengthen their analytical thinking, data processing, result analysis, and other essential research skills.
