Activities for Students

On January 22, 2025, the Research Support Center held an informational meeting with students of the English-language program of the Faculty of Medicine. During the meeting, students were introduced to the academic integrity principles and the university "Rules on Detecting, Preventing, and Responding to Cases of Plagiarism."

On December 6, 2024, the Research Support Center held an informational meeting with students of the English-language programs of the Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry on the topic "How to Prepare a Presentation and Abstract for a Conference."

On June 11-17, 2024, the European University hosted “Student Research Week 2024″ organized by the Research Support Center and the faculties. Within the framework of the week, workshops and seminars on various topics, led by academic and invited staff of European University, Kutaisi University, and Ilia State University were held for students. On June 14, a film screening was organized for students. On the last day of the week, on June 17 faculties organized student scientific conferences, where students from various university faculties participated.

On May 30, 2024, the Research Support Center held seminars for students of the Georgian and English-language programs of the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Dentistry on the topic "How to Prepare a Presentation for a Conference."

From April 22 to May 15, 2024, as part of the ,,Academic Integrity and Plagiarism Prevention Week" organized by the Research Support Center and the faculties of European University, a poster competition on the topic "Plagiarism Prevention" was held for students.

On March 22, 2024, an informational meeting on "Academic Integrity and Plagiarism Prevention" was held for European University students. The event was organized by the Research Support Center, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the Faculty of Law, Humanities, and Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Business and Technology. The Head of the Research Support Center, Gvantsa Jichoshvili, led the meeting. Students were introduced to the principles of academic integrity, the university's rule on detecting, preventing, and responding to cases of plagiarism and the rule on student research funding and participation in international conferences.

In the period from April 18 to May 5, 2023, a student poster competition on the topic "Academic Integrity and Plagiarism Prevention" was held under the co-organization of the Research Support Center and the faculties. The competition was open for the students of all faculties. The purpose of the competition was to raise awareness among students about plagiarism and introduce them to the principles of academic integrity. Students participating in the competition were awarded with memorable prizes.

On June 19 - 23, 2023, the "Student Research Week 2023" was held which was organized by the Research Support Center and the Faculties. During the Student Research Week, a number of meetings and workshops were planned and implemented for students on various topics of interest to them. The purpose of the week was to promote the development of research skills among students, to introduce them to the preparation of scientific articles and research projects, to familiarize them with the principles of research integrity and research ethics, etc. The workshops were led by the academic and visiting staff of the European University. All participating students of the week were given certificates of participation.

On June 10, 2022, information meetings with students on the topic "Academic Integrity and Plagiarism Prevention" were planned and implemented by the Research Support Center and the faculties. At the meeting, the students were introduced to the principles of academic integrity and got familiarized the university document "Procedures and mechanisms for plagiarism detection, prevention, and response to plagiarism incidents". At the end of the meeting, the students completed an online quiz, and the winners were announced. Working language - Georgian and English.

On May 24, 2022, the Research Support Center held an online meeting for students of the Faculty of Medicine of the European University (working language - Georgian) on the topic "Writing a scientific article".

In the period from April 12 to April 26, 2022, a call for posters for the poster competition “Plagiarism Prevention" was announced, which was organized withing the framework of the "Academic Integrity and Plagiarism Prevention Week". Ten students of the European University took part in the competition, three of them won prizes: Afia Tasnemi - first place, Praktik Sunil Desai - second place and Anano Gogoladze - third place. Other participants of the poster competition - Sheharban Thachapallath Shajahan, Saini Pimanshu, Dayama Litesh Nandkishore, Franklin Chinedu Nweze, Sharma Mrigakshika, Sonu Vatsa and Ahmad Adobrey were given certificates and awards.
