Registration has begun for the conference: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Its Practical Implications in TESOL Classroom

European University and the English Teachers’ Association of Georgia (ETAG), in partnership with the U.S. Embassy to Georgia and the British Council Georgia, are hosting a conference to explore the transformative role of artificial intelligence in modern education.

The focus will be on practical applications, pedagogical value, and ethical considerations of AI, especially in English as a Second/Foreign Language classrooms.

The conference will bring together educators, researchers, and education professionals from throughout Georgia to examine how AI-driven tools can enhance teaching methods, support student
engagement, and reshape assessment and learning environments in TESOL classrooms.

The scope of the conference covers the following areas:

  • AI-Enhanced Teaching Methods, Evaluation, and Assessment
  • Digital Literacy for Teachers and Students in the Era of AI
  • AI in the Classroom: Ethical Responsibilities, Norms, and Academic Integrity
  • The Role of AI in Inclusive Education
  • AI-Informed Curriculum Design, Materials Development, and Program Leadership

The conference promises active engagement through interesting keynotes, practical workshops, and interactive concurrent sessions.

Seats are restricted to 110 only!

All registrations are subject to confirmation by the organizing committee.

Who can present?

The conference welcomes submissions from experienced language specialists, teachers, and researchers.

Key requirements

All proposed sessions must meet the following criteria:

  • Be informed through applied research
  • Offer evidence-based practical implications for a language classroom
  • Align with the above-listed thematic scope areas
  • Be limited to a maximum duration of 25 minutes each session
  • Be presented individually or in pairs (the physical participation of all presenters at the conference venue is obligatory)

The conference welcomes anyone with a professional or academic interest in AI in education. A minimum English proficiency level of B2 is desirable.
