A public lecture by Dr. Babur Mehmed Akarsu, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Sinop University (Turkey), was held at European University.
The lecture, attended by students of the Tourism and Archaeology programs, focused on the topic: THE SITUATION AND RELATIONS OF THE GEOGRAPHIES OF TODAY'S TÜRKİYE AND GEORGIA IN ANCIENT PERIOD.
During the meeting, Dr. Akarsu discussed the historical connections between Türkiye and Georgia, tracing their relations from the prehistoric period to the present day. Key topics included the Kura-Araxes culture, the Kingdom of Pontus, the Hellenistic period, and amphorae from Kolkheti, dating to the 6th century AD.
