II International Scientific Session at the European University has concluded

On April 14, II International Scientific Session organized by the Institute of Archaeology and the Historical-Archaeological Museum, named after the academician Andria Afakidze, at the European University officially concluded. 

The event commemorated the 110th anniversary of the birth of the distinguished Georgian archaeologist, educator, and public figure, academician Andria Afakidze.

During the session, the latest field research and excavation reports from archaeological expeditions were presented. These reports were contributed by both Georgian institutions (from scientific centers in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Borjomi) and international archeologists (from Austria, the Federal Republic of Germany, Italy, Poland and Armenia).

The reports presented at the session will be published this year in the scientific research journal “Archaeology” of the Academician Andria Afakidze Institute of Archaeology and the Historical-Archaeological Museum.
