Professor Ketevan Tsanava has been appointed head of the nephrology department at the European University

Ketevan Tsanava an affiliate professor of the European University and the head of the nephrology and intensive therapy departments at the "Vakhtang Bochorishvili Clinic" has been appointed head of the nephrology department.

In 1980, she received the qualification of a physician at "Tbilisi State Medical University", In 1991, she was awarded the Ph.D. degree in medicine, In 2006, she received the qualification of a nephrologist at "Tbilisi State Medical University" and in 2007, she obtained a medical license in the field of internal medicine.

Ketevan Tsanava actively participates in training courses, seminars, and scientific activities such as:
•    Student-oriented centered learning process planning, European University, in 2020
•    Modern Teaching and Assessment Methods in Higher Education, European University, in 2021
•    Practical and Evidence-Based Approaches to Nephrology, International Nephrology Conference, in 2022

She presented a topic "Preeclampsia-eclampsia: a risk factor for cardiovascular disease in women" at the conference of the Society of Cardiology of Georgia in 2018 and the topic "Toxic epidermal necrolysis complicated by renal failure" at the XVIII International Medical Conference in 2021.

Publication "Covid 19 and Pirfenidon," written by Ketevan Tsanava, was published in the Journal of Biomedical and Medical Sciences in 2022. Her article "Hemolytic-uremic Syndrome: When to Start Hemodialysis?" was published in the journal "Experimental and Clinical Medicine" in 2023.
