Jean Monnet Module Winter School “Europeanization as an Instrument for the Democratization of Georgia” has ended

On March 10, 2023, a closing event of the Jean Monnet Module Winter School entitled “Europeanization as an Instrument for the Democratization of Georgia”, implemented within the International Relations Study Program, was held at European University.

The event was attended by the winter school participants as well as module-coordinating academic team members. Levan Makhashvili, Academic Coordinator of the Module, Tatia Dolidze, Head of the International Relations Program and Kakha Gogolashvili,  Director of the Centre of EU Studies at Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (GFSIS) addressed the audience.

Academic team members of the module talked about the ongoing Europeanization and democratization processes in Georgia, and the internal and external challenges on the way to the country's European integration. The three winter schools held within the module were also summarized and the importance of implementing national or international educational projects funded by the European Union was emphasized.

At the end of the event, all attendees were awarded with a certificate. What is more, Levan Makhashvili distrubured his monograph entitled "Institutions of the European Union" developed within the framework of the module.

It is noteworthy that the audience was also informed about the unique offer of European University. More precisely, in case of choosing the International Relations Study Program as the first priority at the national exams of Georgia, study fee of all entrants will be fully covered by European University itself.
