5th International Scientific Conference "Current Economic and Social Problems in the Modern Conditions of Globalization"
On September 26, the 5th International Scientific Conference "Current Economic and Social Problems in the Modern Conditions of Globalization" was held remotely.
The conference was organized by the European University Research Institute for Economic and Social Issues of Globalization, the Faculty of Business and Technology, and the Journal of Globalization and Business. The conference was co-organized by Kutaisi University and Daugavpils University (Latvia, Daugavpils).
Along with Georgian scientists, foreign representatives (Latvia, Ukraine, Poland, Israel and Northern Macedonia) took part in the conference. Despite the difficulties caused by the pandemic, about 30 speakers participated in the conference.
Rector of the European University and Vice-Rector of Kutaisi University, Associate Professor Tamar Kerdzaia addressed the conference with a welcoming speech. Also, from Daugavpils University, Professor, Vladimir Menshikov, from the Taras Shevchenko State University of Kiev, Professor, Olyona Bazhenova, Associate Professor from the Kherson Agrarian State University, Jana Josan.
Professors of European University: Givi Bedianashvili, Ekaterine Natsvlishvili, Tornike Khoshtaria, Mikheil Bichia, Amiran Maghlakelidze, Kuji Bichia delivered interesting presentations at the conference together with Georgian and foreign speakers.
The conference addressed a wide range of issues related to the pandemic and its challenges in the current context of globalization in Georgia, the EU and other countries. Problems in education, science, innovation processes, macroeconomics and finance, business and tourism were also discussed.
