International Associations

Institutionally, European University is a member of several international associations:

  • European University Association (EUA)

European University is an Individual Associate Member of European University Association (EUA). The Association provides members with unique opportunities to shape European policies and ensures that the independent voice of European universities is heard wherever decisions are being taken. European University Association is one of the largest organizations that unites numerous European universities and organizations in the field of education.  Based in Brussels, the Association represents more than 800 universities from 48 European countries. It must be noted that EUA plays a crucial role in the Bologna Process and in influencing EU policies on higher education, research and innovation.

  • Global University Network for Innovation (GUNi)

European University is a permanent institutional member of Global University Network for Innovation (GUNi). GUNi membership offers Kutaisi University an effective platform for exchanging knowledge, information, materials, as well as for staying up to date with regard to higher education policy managing practices and other practical emerging issues on the international agenda.

 GUNi is one of the world-leading think tanks on higher education policy and management and is a reference institution in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs in higher education.

  • Global Higher Education Network (Businet)

European University is a member of Global Higher Education Network (Businet). The cooperation foresees the involvement of European University in large-scale international events organized by Businet.

The Businet Network serves the purpose of developing academic programs in higher education and enhancing the qualifications of students and personnel. Businet is a network of international higher education institutions (both private and public universities and colleges) that have a common vision on the internationalization of the teaching-learning processes and extracurricular activities.

-The Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE) 

European University is a member of the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE) which is a worldwide organization with members in 90 countries on five continents. AMEE promotes international excellence in education in the health professions across the continuum of undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education.

-European Association for International Education (EAIE)

The European University is a member of European Association for International Education (EAIE). Founded in 1989, the EAIE is the European centre for expertise, networking and resources in the internationalisation of higher education.

-The Association of Medical Schools in Europe (AMSE)

European University Faculty of Medicine is a member of the Association of Medical Schools in Europe (AMSE) which is primary organization of Europe concerned with the leadership and management of medical schools.

- Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE)

The organization was founded in 1975 as an independent European organization representing academic dentistry and the community of dental educators. Since then, the organization has been playing an essential role in improving the quality of education, advancing dental educators' professional development, and supporting research in the education and training of oral health personnel.

-Association for Computing Machinery

European University is an academic member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) which brings together computing educators, researchers, and professionals to inspire dialogue, share resources, and address the field's challenges. As the world’s largest computing society, ACM strengthens the profession's collective voice through strong leadership, promotion of the highest standards, and recognition of technical excellence.
