European University’s futsal team finishes the 2024/25 season in a prize-winning position

European University’s futsal team finished its participation in the Georgian Championship (League 3) with bronze medals.

On May 31, the final match of Futsal League 3 and the award ceremony were held at the Tbilisi Olympic Palace. Among the season’s best players was EU team member Davit Babutsidze, who received the award for Best Forward in League 3.

Davit Babutsidze scored the most goals for our team during the 2024/25 season — a total of 16.

Following an eight-match unbeaten streak during the regular stage, European University advanced to the playoffs, where they defeated the Batumi Sports Center in two matches. In the semi-final series, EU delivered thrilling and intense games. Ultimately, in the third-place match, they beat “Rustavi” and finished the season in a prize-winning position.

Simultaneously, European University’s futsal team also competed in Universiade 2025 and, for the first time in its history, celebrated a championship victory.
