European University Hosts Professor Maurizio Tira

On September 24, 2025, European University rector Nino Taliashvili had the honor of hosting Professor Maurizio Tira, Emeritus Rector of the University of Brescia, President of the UNIBS Foundation, and President of the GARR Consortium.

Professor Tira’s visit was preceded by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between European University and the University of Brescia. During the visit, the European University delegation and Professor Tira discussed the practical implementation of specific initiatives outlined in the Memorandum, focusing on turning the agreed areas of cooperation into actionable plans.

The discussions focused on opportunities for student and faculty exchange, the development of joint research initiatives, and institutional capacity building. Both sides also explored concrete next steps to translate the agreement into practical academic collaboration.

Professor Tira’s visit represents a significant milestone in deepening international academic cooperation. It reflects a shared commitment to fostering educational quality, promoting internationalization, and building sustainable academic partnerships between the two institutions.
