“Europe University” awarded the title of Honorary Doctor to Professor Helmut Friess of the Technical University of Munich

Professor Helmut Friess, Director of the Surgical Clinic and Polyclinic at the Technical University of Munich, was awarded the title of Honorary Doctor by “Europe University” for his significant contribution to the development of the field of medicine.

Professor Friess was presented with the Honorary Doctor’s diploma by the Rector of “Europe University,” Nino Taliashvili.

The event was attended by Vice President Tamar Zarginava, Vice-Rectors Nikoloz Parjanadze and Sophio Khundadze, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Natia Jojua, representatives of the faculty, and students.

As part of the visit, Professor Helmut Friess held an open lecture for the students of the Faculty of Medicine on the topic “Current Issues in Modern Clinical Science” and shared valuable experience with the students.

Professor Helmut Friess has held the position of Director of the Surgical Clinic and Polyclinic at the Technical University of Munich since 2007. His career includes leading institutions in Germany, Switzerland, and the United States, reflecting his international influence in medicine.

As a member of the General Assembly of the United European Gastroenterology Federation and Secretary of the European Society for Digestive System Research, he serves the global medical community. His achievements are widely recognized, and he holds the title of Honorary Professor.

“Europe University” has close academic ties with the “Technical University of Munich.” The cooperation between the two educational institutions includes sharing international knowledge with students and creating new opportunities for them.
