At “European University” a workshop titled “Professional Development Workshop in English Language Teaching” will be held on April 20-24

On April 20, 21, 22, 24, “European University,” with funding from the U.S. Department of State’s English Language Specialist Program, is organising the workshop “Professional Development Workshop in English Language Teaching”.

The workshop will be led by Professor Dr. John Lewis from Iowa State University. The intensive program will cover TESOL methodology, the implementation of innovations in the teaching process, introduction to modern approaches, and consultations for PhD Students.

This offers English teachers, researchers, and Post-Doctoral students in Georgia a rare chance to learn from a leading expert in applied linguistics.

11:00 – 14:30: TESOL Methodology: Contemporary Approaches to Oral Language Instruction + Practical Applications

14:30 – 15:30: PhD Student Consultation

April 21

11:00 – 14:30: Suprasegmentals: Issues at the Word Level + Teaching Word Stress — Practical Strategies & Assessment

14:30 – 15:30: PhD Student Consultation

April 22

11:00 – 14:30: Suprasegmentals: Stress at the Phrase Level + Teaching Phrase Stress — Strategies & Assessment

14:30 – 15:30: PhD Student Consultation

April 24

11:00 – 14:30: Suprasegmentals: Intonation in English + Teaching Intonation and Its Meanings

14:30 – 15:30: Open Consultations for Academic Personnel

15:30 – 16:00: Closing Ceremony & Certificate Distribution
