A series of trainings was held within the framework of the InnovaVet project

A series of training sessions were held from July 2-4, as part of the project “Development of Veterinary Education Programs” (InnovaVet), funded by the Competitive Innovation Fund (CIF).

The training aimed to enhance the knowledge and practical application of innovative teaching and assessment methods for academic and invited staff of the veterinary educational programs at the “Georgia Technical University” and “European University.”

Representatives from the University of Life Sciences in Estonia led the three-day training sessions for Georgian colleagues on topics such as problem-based and case-based learning, the flipped classroom model, integration of technologies into the teaching process, development of clinical competencies in students, and etc.

The topics discussed sparked great interest from the audience, reflected in their active participation in the discussions.

Around 35 professors and lecturers involved in veterinary medicine educational programs actively participated in the training.

At the end of the training, each participant received a certificate.

It is worth noting that the closing event of the training was attended by representatives from the Competitive Innovation Fund, including Anna Gomelauri, Head of the Administration Unit, and Giorgi Sikharulidze, the Fund’s Financial Specialist.
