A competition has been announced for medical students to complete a clinical internship at the University of Santiago de Compostela

The Faculty of Medicine of European University is announcing a competition for students of the English and Georgian-language MD programs to participate in a fully funded clinical internship in Spain.

The selected students will complete their internship at the University of Santiago de Compostela.

The program does not provide academic credits and aims to support students in refining their knowledge and practical skills.

Period for the clinical practice: February 2-6, 2026.

Eligibility requirements for participation:

  1. The student’s academic performance/GPA for the Spring semester of the 2024-2025 academic year must be 3.0 or higher.
  2. Level of study: Students in the 3rd semester of the Georgian- or English-language MD program.
  3. The student must have the right to enter Schengen countries visa-free, or at the time of registration must present a valid Schengen visa (covering March 2026).

Selection criteria:

  1. Motivational letter
  2. Interview in English

Applicants wishing to participate must send their motivational letter (in English) to studentscompetition@eu.edu.ge by November 5 at 20:00.

Interviews with candidates will be held on November 7.

As a result of the competition, 16 students will be selected.

European University will cover the cost for flight tickets, hotel accommodation, and program fee for the selected students.
