European University Students to Undertake Practical Work at Tbilisi Zoo
Within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation signed between European University and Tbilisi Zoo, students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at European University will participate in practical work at the zoo.
Students will have the opportunity to closely study the zoo’s diverse animal and bird species and take part in their care and feeding.
Nino Taliashvili, Rector of European University, attended the first day of the practical work at Tbilisi Zoo and personally thanked Irma Bochhorishvili, Head of the Zoo’s Educational Center, for this opportunity.
During the meeting, Nino Taliashvili and Irma Bochhorishvili discussed the activities included in the internship component with the students and reviewed future plans.
This collaboration is permanent, and after acquiring the necessary foundational knowledge, students will also undertake professional practice in the zoo’s veterinary department.
Before beginning their practical component, students at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine will work in fully equipped, modern laboratories at European University on simulated cases, models, and using 3D anatomy tools to acquire all the skills required for treating living animals.
Students of the integrated undergraduate-master’s program in Veterinary Medicine at European University will receive a master’s degree after completing the five-year program.
It is noteworthy that work experience gained as assistants in partner veterinary clinics throughout different courses will help students secure guaranteed employment in their profession.
