The delegation comprised John Silver, Regional English Language Officer at the U.S. Embassy (Ankara); Lia Gumberidze, English Language Programs Coordinator at the U.S. Embassy (Tbilisi); and Aycan Yaman, Regional English Language Specialist at the U.S. Embassy (Ankara).
The delegation was welcomed on behalf of the European University by Vice-Rector for International Relations Nikoloz Parjnadze, Vice-Rector for Quality Assurance Sopio Khundadze, Head of the International Relations Office Mariam Orjonikidze, and Head of the Public Relations and Marketing Department Laura Papaskua.
The meeting provided an opportunity to explore avenues for deepening institutional collaboration and advancing joint educational initiatives. Significant attention was devoted to the organization of international conferences, training programs, and professional development opportunities for English language teachers. A central topic of discussion was the potential for developing and implementing methodologies to integrate artificial intelligence into educational practice.
The parties further emphasized the importance of strengthening international academic partnerships and expressed mutual support for initiatives aimed at improving the quality of English language instruction and building professional capacity in Georgia.
