The Faculty of Medicine held International Teaching Week at the European University

International Teaching Week
An International Teaching Week was held from November 17-21, organised by the Faculty of Medicine at “European University.”

As part of the International Week, professors from partner universities in the United Kingdom and Spain visited “European University” and conducted lectures/seminars for students of the English-language Medical Doctor program.

Professors from the University of Santiago de Compostela in Spain led training courses in the fields of Physiology, Clinical Diagnostics, and Molecular Biology. The participating professors were:

  • Professor of the Department of Physiology, University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, and Honorary Doctor of “European University”, Victor Manuel Vazquez Arche
  • Professor of the Department of Diagnostics, University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, and Professor of “European University”, Sergio Cinza Sanjurjo
  • Professor of the Department of Diagnostics, University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, and Assistant Professor of “European University”, Daniel Rey Aldana
  • Professor of the Department of Biology, University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, and Associate Professor of “European University”, Miguel González Blanco

Professor from Swansea University (UK) and Visiting Lecturer of “European University,” Steven Capey, conducted lectures/seminars in the field of Pharmacology.

Students of the English-language medical Doctor program at “European University” discussed various clinical cases with the foreign professors, engaged in interesting discussions, and participated in clinical and practical work.

During the visit, the professors also met with the academic and invited personnel of the Faculty of Medicine to share pedagogical experience.

“European University” continues its close cooperation with international partners for educational internationalisation and plans to implement similar activities in the future.
