#ErasmusDays2025 – Students and lecturer Marika Mchedlidze participated in the summer school in the Netherlands

From October 13-18 #ErasmusDays2025 are celebrated worldwide.
“European University” joins the week initiated by the European Union and will offer various activities with the involvement of Erasmus students.
Within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 international credit mobility program, students of the three-year Bachelor of Business Administration program at the European University were in Apeldoorn, Netherlands.
As part of the program, students participated in the Wittenberg University of Applied Sciences Summer School.
Participants were trained in key marketing areas such as market research, consumer behavior, digital marketing, and brand strategy development.
Marika Mchedlidze, a visiting lecturer from the European University, was in the Netherlands with the students.
Marika Mchedlidze evaluates the Wittenberg University of Applied Sciences Summer School as a special experience for students:
- What did the Summer School program conducted within the framework of the Erasmus+ project include?
– It was an intensive, 24-hour course in marketing and branding. The sessions were packed with interesting case studies and tailored to showcase local attractions. The hosts took us on a tour of a local tourist attraction, “Paleis Het Loo,” for which the students then developed a marketing strategy.
All presentations reflected the principles of sustainability, and a vision of how their companies can contribute to a sustainable planet. The students also planned how they would use technology and digital communication channels to drive brand success.
- How important are Erasmus activities for academic and visiting staff?
– The summer school at Wittenberg University was a truly unique experience for me, because in this case, students from our university were also there with me.
Such opportunities are undoubtedly very important not only for sharing knowledge, but also for acquiring cultural diversity. Representatives of about ten countries visited the stand of the “European University” and I offered them our traditional sweets, which aroused their interest, and I also shared a lot of information about Georgia.
- What was the most valuable thing from the summer school?
– The most valuable thing was the human relations – the warmth and attention that the organizers showed. The students were from different countries, including a large number from China. It was a truly unforgettable impression for me.
