Innovative Training in Veterinary Education Under the InnovaVet Project

On July 2-4, an intensive training series is being held within the framework of the project InnovaVet: Development of Veterinary Education Programs, funded by the Competitive Innovation Fund (CIF), and implemented in cooperation between the Georgian Technical University and European University.

The training brings together representatives of academic and invited staff from various universities involved in the project.

The training sessions are led by professors from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Estonian University of Life Sciences – Kristel Peetsalu, Kristi Praakla, and Eda Leola.

The event was officially opened on July 2 by the Rector of European University, Nino Taliashvili, and the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Biosystems Engineering of the Georgian Technical University, Giorgi Tchitchinadze.

The core topics of the sessions include transitioning from traditional teaching approaches to student-centered and deep learning practices, as well as equipping students with skills that address current and future professional challenges in the veterinary field.

The training aims to support the professional development of educators and promote the exchange of innovative educational practices.

In total, 35 professors and lecturers from the beneficiary universities are participating in the intensive training sessions.
