A professor from University College London held a two-day intensive research workshop series at the European University

On June 9-10, with the support of European University, a two-day intensive workshop series was held – “Practical Aspects of Research, Collaboration and Innovation” – which was led by Dr. Karen Edge, Professor at UCL Institute of Education, University College London, and Director of the MA Educational Leadership program at the same university.

The two-day event was opened by the Rector of the European University, Nino Taliashvili. Nikoloz Parjanadze, Vice-Rector, delivered a speech to the participants.

The workshop series aimed to strengthen research competencies at various career stages and promote long-term research collaborations.

The speaker advised attendees how to create a study portfolio and make new connections through practical exercises and engaging activities. The meeting themes included:

  • Creating a clear context
  • Title and abstract
  • Data research and analysis
  • Funding sources and bid preparation
  • Publications

The event was attended by experienced researchers, early-career academics, and doctoral students at various stages of their studies and research.

“European University” is actively involved in the development of the research component, and the development of academic staff skills is part of the university’s strategic plan.
